Melissa Andrews brings sales experience and a psychology background to her marketing position. Her mission – promote small, local businesses. She specializes in the arts, churches, special events and home improvement. Ad sales help support her “Get Tough or Die” farm and its inhabitants: her husband, 3 cats, 2 rabbits, and 2 chickens.

Patty Colmer, a native Sacramentan and an 11-year veteran with the company, offers more than thirty years of publishing, sales and management experience. Sacramento is her home; sales and marketing are her business. She’s here for your ad/sales needs.

Marc Harris (A.K.A. “ACE”) has been selling print ads for 12 years, returning to Sacramento after 18 years in Tucson, Ariz., where he cut his teeth in the advertising sales industry. He is also very involved in the local music scene in Sacramento and Tucson, playing guitar for 19 years and he loves performing.

Linda Pohl is natural communicator, and has been a member of the staff since the papers opened in 1991. She is very active in community events, the largest one being the Pocket’s Fourth of July activities. Pocket is home for her and her family. She looks forward to having you join our family of happy advertisers.

Susan Laird is a professional editor, copywriter, journalist and businesswoman.

She received her B.S. in technical journalism from Oregon State University, and continued her studies in marketing communications at San Jose State and Stanford universities. An experienced writer, marketing account executive and editor, Susan enjoys writing the community feature story.  She is the past news editor for Life Newspapers in Folsom and El Dorado Hills.

Ryan Rose has been a journalist for over ten years, having worked for news agencies in Sacramento, Folsom, El Dorado County and San Francisco. Now based exclusively in Sacramento, he works as an editor, writer and photographer supporting the local coverage of the Valley Community Newspaper group.
