Race matters ... let's talk
Racial profiling is not new. However, what local leaders, police and residents hope will be new for all areas of Sacramento is a dramatic reduction in vehicle stops by law enforcement solely on the basis of race, ethnicity or national origin.
...another man's treasure Kent Link, 88, estimates he's used some 1,000 aluminum cans since taking up a recycling artwork hobby. Link has been inspired by the flowers on a can of Arizona Iced Tea, the plastic trays from flower pots, and the wheels and spokes from old bicycles. The results? Delicate trees and whimsical, wind-driven yard art.
